WARNING

Our experts at Safe Diet Pills have placed this product on our unsafe diet pills list.

On 1st May 2009 The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning after some Hydroxycut products were linked to liver damage rhabdomyolysis and at least one death.

Despite a recall and a change to ingredients we believe the risks for this product far outweigh the benefits.

Full Review

Hydroxycut weight loss pills are extremely popular in the USA, with approximately 1 million units sold per year. Previously Hydroxycut was one of the most effective weight loss pills available.

It contained an ECA stack (epedra, caffeine and aspirin) that was banned by the FDA in 2004 due to its potential life threatening risks. New ingredients in Hydroxycut include white tea, caffeine, hydroxagen Plus and green tea extract. There is clinical evidence that shows green tea can help assist weight loss and suppress appetite.

There are, however, a number of unpleasant side effects associated with Hydroxycut that include insomnia, chest pains, acne, diarrhoea, dizziness and nose bleeds

Some users did report moderate weight loss, so this diet pill does appear to work for certain of people. There are, however, also a lot of users who had trouble sleeping at night, and other various side effects when using this weight loss supplement.

How Does Hydroxycut Work?

Hydroxycut essentially focuses on increasing the body’s metabolism, enabling it to burn more calories and fat.

Previous research  has shown that using Hydroxycut could help individuals to lose up to 4.5 times’ additional weight than what would otherwise be the case with simple exercise and diet.

Hydroxycut also helps in the oxidation of fat so that more and more of the stored fat amount is turned into energy that can be used up by the body for the various functions.

Despite these benefits, the recent recall means we cannot endorse this product under any circumstances.

Hydroxycut Recall June 2009

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) is warning people not to take certain Hydroxycut food supplements following reports in North America and Finland linking the products to several serious cases of liver damage, including one death.

The specific ingredient or dosage, which might be causing health problems, has not yet been identified. However, as a precautionary measure, the FSA is warning people not to take them. There are no reported illnesses in the UK related to these products.

Safedietpills.co.uk Expert Opinion

Despite it’s popularity our experts at safedietpills.co.uk are certain this is a dangerous weight loss supplement that should not be taken. Due to the recent recall we are asking all of our customers to please ensure you throw away any pills you may have as we cannot verify their safety.

Although the makers of Hydoxycut have now replaced the contents of this supplement we feel that under the circumstances this is a potentially dangerous product.

As an alternative we would recommend a 100% natural product that has no uncomfortable or potentially dangerous side effects.
